“MITTOS” or “Make It To The Other Side,” the latest from Canadian singer Sarah MK, is a powerful track. That’s because it’s inspirational and uplifting while still just being emotionally rich. It makes you want to keep pushing, even in the face of adversity–but also make you celebrate how far you’ve come thus far. That sort of song, for me, is needed–especially in this day and age.

Additionally, I simply love Sarah’s voice on this one, as it’s as rich as the emotions are here while still falling in that neo-soul sweet spot. She kind of reminds me a bit of Sade. The jazzy instrumentation here is laidback, which works out well for the vocals and the subject matter. Because the instrumentation is so laidback, the truths contained in this track are able to shine through that much stronger.
