On an instrumental and with vocals that sound a bit like a blend of Dido mixed with Erykah Badu, Keri Sreb’s “TOSYS” seems to be about on thing. That thing, of course, is trying to move on and move outward while a domineering partner tries to keep you tied up. I think that’s the best way I can describe it. It’s a four-minute suite song about creating a new beginning for oneself while saying goodbye to the past in a definitive sort of way. I like Sreb’s vocals, especially on the second half of the song (where things slow down a bit and then get a bit more earthy in the sound). If you like your alt-R&B with genre-blending/genre-bending features, I feel that you’ll like this one. So check it out below and support dope music in all its forms.
