janïsa Presents the Bold “Fly Away”

A song that walks that unseen boundary between soul and singer/songwriter, Canadian singer janïsa‘s “Fly Away” has some pretty profound visuals. “Fly Away” came from her desire to truly love and accept herself completely, deciding to say “damn the rest” and walk in her truth. The song is equal parts mantra for self-love and declaration of independence from what once held her down/held her “captive” in any way.

The visuals find janïsa singing while walking through a cityscape in a spacesuit, possibly representative of her own journey and path to self-discovery. She’s got nothing with her but a suitcase, showing that she’s ready to embark on this journey sooner rather than later.
