Scott Cook’s Latest is an Ode to Letitia James

Not all heroes wear capes. Heck, most of them don’t, if we’re being real. That is, unless you count, like, doctor’s jackets as capes on some Doctor Strange stuff. Anyway, before I go too deep down a philosophizing rabbit hole, I have the latest song from Canadian singer/rapper/songwriter Scott Cook. “Get ‘Em Letitia James” is a tribute to the New York AG who’s been giving Ol’ Donny the blues, found that Andrew Cuomo was a creep and has gone against the NRA–among other things. The fact that James is a Black woman who’s out there kicking ass and taking names? That’s the chef’s kiss to her legacy to me. The song’s a solid tribute, but it’s also just a good song.
