Baltimore-born BKM’s “SLEEP” reminds me of a mix between Lil’ Baby and the lyricism of a John Wells over a Travis Scott-chosen beat. The song’s about trying to sleep, even among the demons inside, and trying to fight against them. What struck me the most is the way that BKM flows over the beat. He’s got a mainstream-esque flow, but lyrics that are more underground-friendly (hence the comparison to John Wells). If you’re intrigued by this short writeup, I recommend checking out the rest of his discography and staying tuned to what he puts out. Check out “SLEEP” below and remember to support dope music in all its forms–especially if it’s from my hometown; we’ve got a lot of talent.
