Dark alt-pop daddi ru’s “My Parasite” features the artist detailing their experiences with a toxic relationship and how it’s pushed them to a breaking point. I’ve been there (not recently and not really romantically, but I’ve been there over the years I’ve been around the sun). It’s not a fun time to be had by anyone. I love ru’s bluntness and their vocals, as they’re reminiscent of Billie Eilish. Add in a dark verse by rap legend Grandmaster Caz and you’ve got one helluva track and gateway into ru’s newfound freedom as an artist.
