serpentwithfeet’s latest, a collaboration with legendary artist Moby, finds the soulful artist stirring up every emotion that comes to mind. “On Air” is one of those tracks that’ll get you in your feels, be it because of the production, serpentwithfeet’s vocals or the subject matter of the song (which finds swf waxing poetic about a love that isn’t certain, but is still a love that he believes in). Add that in to a minimalist video that still hammers in those feelings and emotions, and you’ve got yourself a heckuva song.
All in all, this is a great (re)introduction to serpentwithfeet and to Moby’s Always Centered at Night label. This newly-minted collaborative effort focuses on uplifting indie talent who are making “emotional, atmospheric and…beautiful” music. It fits Moby’s brand as being one who eschews mainstream philosophies, so I’m here for it–especially if it gives us more music like “On Air.” Check out the visual below and support dope music in all its forms.
