Jose James Presents “Ache For” on Always Centered at Night

A while after Moby and serpentwithfeet collaborated, singer/songwriter Jose James blesses our ears with the potent “Ache For.” The jazzy blues-esque song speaks on “loss, change and evolution.” The song was written in the aftermath of James’ sister passing away around Christmas. The tie-ins with the holidays are made more potent with the visuals, featuring snow and white visuals. It’s, in some ways, a cathartic song for anyone who’s lost someone. It’s also, in some ways, a song that still captures the energies and vibes of the holidays while making it all incredibly personal. Check out the song below and support dope music in all its forms.
