The allure of fame can change many a person. In the case of Arden Jones’ “Starstruck,” it changed someone he was once close to. The singer/songwriter details a relationship where a young woman kept pondering about the promises of fame, even though she and Jones had a connection.
Granted, that connection was enhanced by “Adderall and Starbucks,” but it was still a seemingly genuine one.
This sort of scenario, I’ve never seen personally, but I’ve heard about it from people. Heck, they’ve made a lot of movies on it. What makes Jones’ song different from others because of the way it sounds. It’s like a mix between alt-R&B, dark pop and hip-hop on the production tip. It’s an eclectic mix that details what happens when someone starts to chase fame, versus just living life. Check out the visualizer below and support dope music in all its forms.
