Dale and the ZDubs Present “Dope Line”

Interesting SOTB Tidbit of the Day: I, drunk off my ass after college, ended up at Looney’s Pub in College Park on a Saturday night where they were having live music. The groups performing were Bumpin Uglies (whom I pitched an idea of a rock-rap album called Ice Cream and Vodka) and the focus of this post, Dale and the ZDubs.

The rock-reggae group (think Sublime with a slightly less ska feel to the instrumentation) is from the DMV and it’s been on my bucket list to cover a song of theirs after that chance encounter a decade or so ago. Their latest, “Dope Line,” finds the group doing what they do best. That is, “Dope Line” finds the group mixing soulful rock, reggae influences and jam band vibes to discuss a pretty truth-filled situation. I love it, plain and simple. That’s mainly because it helps take me back to when SOTB was still coming together–both the site brand and my work as an artist. We’ve all come so far. Check out “Dope Line” below and support dope music in all its forms.
