Shyland Flowers and Sylvan LaCue Tell a Story on “Smoke Breaks”

A song that “contains lyricism that’ll have listeners reminiscing, motivated and grooving,” this one is boombap at its finest. I mean, that’s really all I need to say about this one. It’s beautiful storytelling, a vibeable beat and just good energy about “the possibilities that arise when people get high together.” When I used to get high in college (I mean, I’m not running for President), I’d philosophize with my roommates and our mutual friends and come up with some of the dopest lyrics. That could’ve also just been the manic side of my bipolar flaring up, but my highness–like my “crazy”–is my superpower like AJ Mendez. Check out the bombastic track below and support dope music in all its forms.
