Above, we’ve got the latest from Dubside Guapo, “Gowii.” Sonically, it’s a mix between mainstream-friendly production and underground loverman lyricism. Think Pop Smoke on “What You Know Bout Love,” but with less of an emphasis on melodic rapping and more of an emphasis on older-school flows. Such a blend creates a smooth track about Guapo finding someone to love and making sure they go up as often as possible. It’s a very engaging song, for sure. I like the production, but the lyrics are the major selling point for me. Between Guapo and the hook, the whole thing is a bop. Check it out above and remember to support dope music in all its forms.
