Black Hibiscus Presents the Lovely “Love”

Nigerian indie soul artist Black Hibiscus hit my line with this one a few minutes ago. I clicked play because, well, I try to stay on top of who sends me music (it gets hard sometimes). The vocals remind me of a mix between Steve Lacy and Frank Ocean, specifically due to the indie R&B feel to it all. The song is beautiful and is simply about being in love “with a person until they become your whole world.”

That’s a lovely feeling, one that’s properly encapsulated within “Love.” I’m glad he made this a full-length song versus his original plan to have it as an interlude. That’s because everything just flows together and gives you an ample look into what it’s like to be in love. Check out the track below and support dope music in all its forms.
