Crotona P and ManZu Beats Get “Serious”

On “Serious Shit,” a track from Crotona P and ManZu’s Killer Instinct The Movie, we get bars for days. Lyrically and flow-wise, the track reminds me of 1990s hip-hop, in the sense that the bars aren’t melodic–at all. They’re rapped like rap was going out of style, and I’m here for it. The production is also gritty and takes you back to the days when most rappers actually rapped. And I love it. I would’ve liked to hear a third verse, but I’ll forgive that here. The visuals feature Crotona with Joker-esque face paint and showcase, like the lyrics, why he’s on that serious shit–and anyone who steps to him will be in some serious shit. Check out the track below and support dope music in all its forms.
