Long-distance relationships can be stressful. Most don’t last as long as you’d like them to. That’s because while absence makes the heart grow fonder, it also makes you start to forget about why you fell for them in the first place. Indie alt-pop singer KYD speaks on his own experiences with a long-distance love on “Last Night,” which is available now to stream.

What really grabbed me about this one is the way that the beat just comes together and breaks open with emotion towards the chorus. It lets all of the feels out, while bringing all of the feels in as well. Add that to the fact that KYD reminds me a smidge of Joji and you’ve got a hit on your hands.
