Featuring vocals from Najwa Ezzaher, “La Boheme” is a vibrant journey through a bohemian lifestyle. I love the vocals and how they float over the instrumentation. I also like the instrumentation, as it feels like a mix of jazz, neo-soul and a bit of contemporary R&B as well. This song features on Alex’s La Vie En Soul project, which is due out soon. If it’s anything like this, I’m definitely going to check it out. Alex’s history as a trained (and quite studious) musician comes into play here, as it feels very concise but also free-flowing.
