Ana November and Venor Yard Connect on “Ode To a 90s Love”

There’s nothing to say about this one besides it’s a throwback bop. It brings to mind those Martin and Gina loves we saw on TV and in movies (minus the behind the scenes stuff) and I’m here for it. Both Ava and Venor are soulful singers who give this one a sense of style and grace. Honestly, nowadays, R&B is too sexual and too damn sad. Don’t get me wrong: Jodeci is one of my all-time favorite groups and they were sexual and begged (like, a lot). But it’s nice to hear people actually sing and sing about love (finding it and keeping it) versus just sexing someone and throwing it all away. It’s a beautiful track, one that deserves to be heard. So check it out above and support dope music in all its forms.
