As you all know, I’m a huge Sailor Moon fan. I’ve watched the series a few times now and, yeah, it’s still one of my favorite anime. Enter StAN333 and ilovesome1else, two artists who put together a nerdy-but-hard track named after the Moon Princess. While it doesn’t exactly fight evil by moonlight (or sample “Moonlight Densetsu”), the song grabbed me with its honesty.

“Moon” is a rundown of a relationship that’s partly toxic and partly “I don’t understand what’s going on, but I’ve got to figure out where I need to end up.” While the sound isn’t exactly what I tend to go for, it’s a cool track. The melancholy vibes are there, the references are great and the beat–while minimalistic–is a trunk-rattler. Check it out below and support dope music in all its forms.
