I like the song, because it’s lyrical and reminds me of J. Cole. I love the video, because it takes viewers on a ride throughout the DMV (specifically DC). It shows those unfamiliar with the city what makes it special to its residents–and what keeps it Chocolate City, even when gentrification is happening right before our eyes. Lyrically, this one reminds me of a Cole freestyle, as Styl3s is a very astute observer and reflects on his life and his triumphs. Sonically, the beat is fire.
