GRLwood Contest Against Mediocrity and Negativity on “Keep It Average”

I love this one, mainly because it kind of reminds me of early-to-mid-1990s grungy and post-punk vibes. Random SOTB Fact #1969: I grew up more with 1990s rock, 1960s-1980s soul and 1990s hip-hop. That said, I know (a lot of) my ish. GRLwood’s “Keep It Average” sounds like it’s a song about, well, being average and basic in life. However, it’s more about not just fading into the background and accepting that to succeed, you may end up falling on your face (or butt) quite a few times along the way. It’s also about seeing the positives even in negative situations, never really saying that you lost, but that you learned what not to do next time. I really enjoyed this one and am looking forward to more music from the duo. Check everything out above and support dope music in all its forms.
