Julianna Townsend Says She “Won’t Wait” on Latest Track

I like that this one kind of reminds me a bit, sonically, of Mase and Total’s “Tell Me What You Want.” I’m always here for dope music that sounds like 1990s hip-hop/R&B, especially when it’s done right and not just a lazy sample/interpolation. I also love that this one’s about telling your younger self about the person you are today. If I could tell my younger self I’d be successful at music, maybe I would’ve taken those singing lessons as a tween when my voice changed instead of waiting until my late-20s to start singing again. “I Won’t Wait” is a song that finds Townsend saying that she’d go back and give her younger self the confidence she has now. I’m here for that and the overall sound of the track. Check it out above and support dope music in all its forms.
