You never want to “go Eric Benet,” as Jay-Z once said on 4:44. However, sometimes people do let baddies go elsewhere–either by cheating or just being not as present as we should be. People mess up and they either lament and grow or they keep doing dumb stuff in relationships. Cam Blair’s “Benet” kind of does a bit of both, as the chorus and one of the verses is pretty much like “damn, I messed up and lost everything.” Meanwhile, the 2nd verse is a bit more cocky and like “yeah, I lost her and it sucks.
