The production here was made a month before the trio moved to the DC area. The song itself came together through Voice Memos and studio sessions, which is how a lot of things get done on the DIY side. Hell, I made an entire album with some wireless earbuds (2020’s Songs For 2). This isn’t about me, though. That said, the end result of the song is a beautiful look into what it’s like to start anew, musically, professionally and otherwise. Everything looks both daunting and exciting and you’re ready to take on the new world. I love the vibes here and the lyrics are also pretty clever and top-tier.
