kintsugi Presents “Are These My Hands?”

Norwegian act kintsugi. hit my line with “Are These My Hands.” The first thing I noticed was the name. Kintsugi is the Japanese art of repairing pottery with gold to reflect that we must accept and embrace our flaws and imperfections while also acknowledging that there are things bigger than you in the world. “ATMH” kind of touches on this philosophy throughout the song. Does it have some boisterous lines? It’s a rap song; almost everyone boasts a bit in their music from time to time. However, there’s a deeper meaning within the track and its presentation. It kind of reminds me of an Earl Sweatshirt track in its lo-fi vibes and conscious rap lyrics. Check it out below and support dope music in all its forms.
