Baltimore-centric R&B singer/songwriter Sunny Cowell returns to the pages of SOTB with the breakup anthem “Never Been Better.” Produced by Mighty Mark and released by TT The Artist’s Club Queen Records, this is one of those songs you need to hear when you’re moving on from someone. I mean, after all, they’re your ex for a reason. Now, if that reason was that they were energy vampiric in nature? All the more reason for you to chuck the deuces.

Cowell’s vocals are smooth, velvety Neo-soul lesson on “how to heal,” so there’s also that on top of the overall energy of the song. Again, these exes are exes for a reason. Don’t let them back in. Instead, be better than you were with them and let it be known you’re going to always live your truth. After taking some time for family, Cowell is back like she never left on a musical level. This is slated to appear on her debut album. Judging from what we’ve gotten from Cowell over the last year, it’ll definitely be worth the wait.
