Marshall Vincent Wants “Trust”

This is a genre-blending production, taking inspiration from baroque, choral and Southern R&B pop. In other words, imagine Oasis being sung by serpentwithfeet with twists and turns vocally and sonically that help the song become its own. “Trust” is one of those songs that is “all about an overreaching doubt in your connection with another person…a common feeling of being right about the wrong person.” Vincent poses a question: will you stay or go and “leave the loop.” It’s a very thematic song, one that’s made even more so with the way some of the background vocals dark in and out. It feels like we’re in the Narrator’s mind with all these thoughts rushing around. Check it out below and support dope music in all its forms.
