Luke Petruzzi’s “Quickly” is a “love letter to music–or just to passion in general.” This is especially seen in its thoughts of “pouring [everything] into [one’s] passions.” I love the vocals, but I also enjoyed the lyrics on the song. That’s because, quite frankly, I’ve been in Luke’s shoes. I’ve wondered if I should pursue my passions or just let my gifts go to the wayside. Obviously, ten-plus years in, you see which path I chose. I wouldn’t change anything about my journey, aside from some self-sabotage early on in my career as an artist and as a writer (not to mention some of the same within my vanilla career). I also love the production on this song, as it builds up quite well. Check it out below, support dope music in all its forms and go for your dreams. After all, as the song says, “nobody else can go for you” in your endeavors and your dreams. You’ve got to do it yourself.
