New Jersey native Iamaura’s “On a Wav” is a feelgood sort of track in one way and a “look at how far we’ve come” in another. It’s got a mainstream tilt, but the lyrics are a bit more underground. That blend creates a headbobber that’s also conscious in its approach to the “I’m gonna make it” sort of track. I like this because of its sound; it’s reminiscent of Take Care-era Drake.
