Michigan-born artist Larry Coleman 2020 lets listeners into his rise to where he’s at now. From his Detroit upbringing to selling out shows, the rapper tells us that he stuck to his guns. He’s stuck to them in good times and bad. By doing so, he’s been able to garner attention from the right places while, as he said, “[leaving] the goofy sh** at the door.” Hard work, a lot of faith and dope music always wins (even if it’s not as instantaneous as some other paths). The self-proclaimed “bastard from Michigan” deserves, as an indie entrepreneur, any praise he’s received. Check out the song above and support dope music in all its forms.
