DMV-residing (and Baltimore-loving) artist PeaceRussie’s been working hard AF these last few years–especially over the last few months. After releasing two releases that were “love letter[s] to the women of the Baltimore music community,” he out of the blue drops a remix to “Boy’s a Liar Pt. 2.” This track leans heavily into the Club Music sound of the song to give us, well, a Baltimore Club remix of the original track. What makes it stand out is the varying chops and edits Russie utilized throughout the track to give it that dance my pain away sort of feel. As I’m on my lunchbreak while writing this, it had me rocking off–just a little.

Me f***ing it up aside, that amount of output would usually be good for an artist. It wasn’t for Russie, since he just dropped a remix of BethBanger’s 2020 joint “Real Deal.” This remix keeps the vibe of the original Benjamin Banger-produced track and adds its own spin on things. The end result is this menacing, big-bodied track that screams “move b****, get out the way” on the Ludacris tip.
