UK artist F.ACE’s “Dear God” is, in a word, honest. It’s a gritty, somber look at the rapper’s life and where he’s been–and where he’s going. Sonically, it reminds me a bit of some early-2000s rap (think Jadakiss in that era meets Beanie Sigel in that era). The lines smack you in the face and they make you reconsider some of the things you’re going through and get right with the Lord. God is there for us all. However, you’ve got to open yourself up and let, in so many words, the song cry. If you go at it alone and keep everything bottled up, you’re setting yourself up for a lot of pain, strife and loss. F.ACE definitely goes in and makes the song cry on “Dear God,” so check it out above and support dope music in all its forms.
