The closing track of Metri’s It’s Not Your Fault EP, the Virginia artist ends the project with a soulful track that does a few things. First, it takes listeners on a ride through the mind of an up-and-coming indie artist. The struggles, the wins, the losses–it’s all here. Secondly, Metri speaks on life and how, like music, it is an EQ of highs and lows (s/o Big KRIT). Finally, we get to see love, of several forms, be discussed throughout the track–even though some people can’t see it because of blindness (brought on by disdain, dislike or disinterest). All in all, this is a great song. It’s one that, while shorter than I wished it was, never wastes a second and doesn’t overstay its welcome. Check it out above, listen to the whole EP and support dope music in all its forms.
