Eddy Cane Wants Us to Practice “Self Love”

There’s a popular adage: “if you don’t love you, who else will?” Those words have spoken to me over the years right when I needed them the most. And yes, sometimes I struggle with self-love. That’s because there are point where I’m busy out here giving love/showing love/presenting love to damn near everyone else, but don’t take time to consider “hey, I need some of that too.” Eddy Cane’s “Self Love” is a song about that adage and why it’s important to take care of yourself first, everyone else as you can take care of them. Sonically, the song reminds me of a Big KRIT track with its production and smooth flows. Lyrically, “Love” also reminds me of a KRIT track. Simply put, this was a little slice of audio heaven for me. Check it out above, support dope music in all its forms and remember to love yourself. After all, if you don’t, no one else will.
