New SOTBMusic: Singapore Kane Invokes the Terror of Kim Jong Il on New Track

Boston’s Singapore Kane recently dropped a new single from his upcoming Steel Pulse, Metal Veins album. “Kim Jong Il” is a trip down memory lane, back to a time where artists would invoke dictators and world leaders to speak on their claims for the throne. Now, I don’t, per se, miss the days where every hardbody rapper would compare themselves to Idi Amin or Hitler or a slavemaster or what have you. It got a bit played to me after every rapper had a line like “I really hate [Black people], I’m a Nazi” (and yes, I’m aware that’s a Dej Loaf line). But, I do love the edge on this one. Ain’t nothin’ sweet or airy here, as Kane attacks the beat and wrecks havoc with it, aiming to lay waste to any competition. Check out the track below and remember to support dope music in all its forms.
