Last month, Infinity Knives and Brian Ennals released Rhino XXL, a Black AF presentation.
An eclectic mix of Black power anthems–and Black Power anthems–played to point out things including the hypocrisies in white culture and how white people attempt to police minorities, the project spawned today’s video, “The Willower.” The whole project is dope as hell and gets in your head, but this track was a standout for me. Thankfully, the video doesn’t disappoint.
Knives called the video on IG “Hollywood bang bang pew pew,” and I couldn’t think of a more apt way to describe it.

It’s as abstract as it is in-your-face. Ennals and Knives walk through a wooded area as the track plays in the background. After taking aim with a hunting rifle and bringing down someone in a ghillie suit, the duo make a getaway through the city as the visuals start to trip out. Eventually finding their way to the corner store, Ennals and Knives appear, dripping with blood as the song fades out. It’s a visceral video, one that (to me) plays with our fears of losing our lives to the “hunters.” It also points out Black people have to do their own “prey” (read: goal so people don’t think we’re advocating shamelessly murdering people) stalking. It’s dark as hell, aided by the driving track it visualizes. Check it out below and remember to support dope music in all its forms.
