Jam Young and Lex Rush are “Too Cold”

Lex Rush hit my line between me plugging the hell out of my upcoming Caviar Dreams: The Revival of the No-Fi King project [shameless plug for the preview of the title track goes here] with a banger. She linked up with Jam Young to create a project entitled Queens Affair, reflective of the fact they’re both from Queens and spit dope rhymes. Now, “Too Cold” is the debut single from the project and it smacks you in the face with its “we here” energy.

Featuring production from P. Cruz that’s reminiscent of modern UK rap–as well as underground hip-hop in general–“Too Cold” showcases Lex and Young trading bars with each other in that sort of “We Gonna Make It” way. Anyone who knows me knows I love call-and-response bar trading. The visuals for the track are just as dope and inventive, so check them out below.
