Last week, I dropped the standard edition of For My Nerdy Individuals Getting Gold After Sunrise, a love letter to JRPGs and good music. At eight tracks, five of which appeared previously, I felt there was almost a missed opportunity presenting itself right in front of me. I played around with the idea of a deluxe edition of the project after dropping the Deluxe Edition of Caviar Dreams and getting some excellent feedback. Over the week-plus that followed the initial release and now, I worked with True and Apollo to get a few new verses recorded as well as some new solo work to deliver what’s now known as the (Bandcamp-exclusive) Deluxe Edition of For My NIGGAS. Twelve songs loosely based around JRPGs wasn’t an easy task, especially since I had to balance that line between being dope and nerdy AF, since I didn’t want anything to come out or come off corny or wack. I think I did a good job at that, but don’t let me tell it. Go forth and be nerdy.
