The aptly-titled “Ode to Raekwon” is boombap at its finest, featuring Scorcese and Zilla Rocca trading bars of decadence and grit all while creating a track that could prove timeless. It’s fitting that one of the last tracks Scorcese recorded was like this, as it showcases the artist at his best while also doing what he did best: paying homage to the legends who paved the way for him. Sonically, Panels handles production to create a landscape where the two rappers can rap and get their best Raekwon-esque lines off while still sounding very original.
