A few weeks ago, I featured a song from Blvff on my IG Story, calling him a mix between Smino and Mac. That same energy is kept for the summer-in-the-fall anthem “Surf!,” which features the New York artist riding a beat shit-talking about how he needs/wants his special someone to be there for him when he’s riding through the city. “Shit-talking” here isn’t exactly on the “I’m the best” tip; instead, he just lays it out there that he’s the best choice for his lady friend.

I love this song because it’s breezy and takes me back to the summer but also stands on its own outside of sounding like a Mac-influenced song. The track appears on Blvff’s Sun Showers project and it was one that made me want to check out the rest of what he has to offer. Peep “Surf” below and remember to support dope music in all its forms.
