Earlier this year, Lex Rush and Jam Young dropped their Queens Affair project. Yesterday, they dropped the video for the anthemic “Miss Me.” The visuals see Lex and Jam doing what they do best. That is, they’re spitting lyrics for days while still having fun. The key part of “Miss Me” is that it takes rap back to the braggy-but-happy bars and songs. It’s not a sad turn-up here. Instead, the beat’s infectious and the energy is as well. On top of that, who doesn’t want to avoid BS like the plague?
What I loved the most about this video is that the multitude of colors helps make the lyrics and energies pop off the screen that much more. It’s frenetic in a way, in that the vibes are energetic to match the punchy lyricism. Check out the visuals above and remember to support dope music in all its forms.
