Like the song’s namesake, JezzBe takes something that was once seen as a hardship to make something better and more desirable. And he does so in a way that sounds a bit like an Anderson.Paak mixed with old-school Ginuwine. This one is a bit of a history lesson and a pro-Black track wrapped around a soul food of musical beauty. All of this creates a song and a sound that’s timeless and timely. We can all take a negative and turn it into a positive–or take something that’s a bit hard and make something good out of it. I like the logic behind this one–and his vocals. The vocals are smooth AF.
Check out the track below and remember to support dope music in all its forms. As a closing note, this song is the last single we’re getting before JezzBe releases his EP later this month. If it’s anything like this one, we’re in for a treat for the soul and the ears.
