Another song from Persaud’s upcoming Moody31 album, “I Got You” is about love, loving love, loving being loved and reconnecting with yourself–and others–in the face of difficult times. I’ve been there a lot over the last year or so because, admittedly, I’m not as great of a communicator with people I care about. It’s ironic, I know, since I write for a “living.” I’m working on it, though–as certain people will vouch for me on. Now, enough about me. Let’s get back to the song in question.
This is a breezy, love-heavy jam that focuses on self-love and self-growth just as much as it does on the love of others. That’s why I’m featuring it, because truthfully? Anyone can sing about loving others. It takes someone in-tuned with themselves and the outside to sing about self-love and self-compassion. Plus, the song is just beautiful. Check out the love below and remember to support dope music in all its forms and love how you want.
