When J.Rocc hit my line with his “LA Anthem” a couple weeks back, I said that while I liked the song, it had an intro that was a bit long in the tooth. Fast forward to today, where he released a truncated version of the song to visuals of Los Angeles. From the LA Riots to Nip to LA way back in the day, you can tell that J.Rocc loves his city . However, you can also tell that the city helped craft his sound, which is distinct and resonates with me. The song appears on the album A Wonderful Letter, which releases everywhere on Friday after a Stones Throw vinyl release a little while back. If you’re feeling this one, check out the album proper when it drops on streaming this Friday and support dope music in all its forms.
