Elaine Kristal Presents Throwback Vibes on “Sweet Escape”

With production that reminds me of a mix of drill and late-90s/early-2000s R&B, NYC multihyphenated artist Elaine Kristal sings about trying to find a piece of peace with a lover. The song is about trying to find someone to bring you that peace and take you away from your surroundings, even if it’s only for a fleeting moment. I’m here for that sort of content, because after this week? I need as much positivity in my life as possible (for more on the insanity of this week, peep Vol. 59 of Quickies).

The video is crisp and clean and finds the artist strolling through her city, meeting up with her sweet escape and having some fun. It’s a sweet song and video, one that makes me need more of her vocals and songs ASAP. If you’re like me and you need a sweet escape from the darkness to a bit of light and hopefulness, do the thing. Check this one out below while supporting dope music in all its forms.
