I love the production on this one, I’ll get that out the way. That’s because it kind of reminds me of the Taxi theme song, “Angela” by Bob James. But throwback Mondays aside, “Garden Instead” is one of those songs where the artist discovers that he’s got to rediscover where he was, where he wanted to be and who he was. It’s a lot of “Garden of Eden” hip-hop, where the rhymesayer tends to himself and his garden to cultivate more growth.
