M Soto’s vocals on the hook are a high point, let’s get that out the way now. The song itself is a R&B-flavored rap track about relationships, how they may still creep in your headspace at times after they’re over and just trying to sort through the various emotions that come with it all. It’s one of those songs that’s pop enough that you could hear it on the radio, but truthful, diverse and emotive enough that you’d also just hear it on an SOTBMusic playlist (speaking of which, a new Quickies is coming Friday). Sonically, it reminds me of a late-2000s track, in that it kind of reminds me of a mix between early Drake and a bit of Jason Derulo.
