Skot the Idea Presents “When The Tune Hit”

Above, we’ve got the latest from DMV artist Skot the Idea. The Nigerian-American artist was born and raised in Rockville and lived in London for about a decade as a youngster. That blend between DMV, London hip-hop and a healthy dash of house/electronica music helps Skot craft a sound that’s a mix that resides somewhere between Baltimore club, hip-hop and house (think Chance the Rapper on “All Night” mixed with Drake on some of his latest tracks).

In other words, it’s one of those tracks that’ll get you moving, feeling good and just in a great mood. The track features on Skot’s 3 to Drive Through EP, which features two other songs that complement “When the Tune Hit” pretty well. If you’re interested in the EP after listening to “Tune,” I definitely recommend it because it’s a nice breath of bouncy–but fresh–air. So check everything out and support dope music in all its forms.
