There’s really nothing I can say about this one other than “if you love bars and introspection, you’ll absolutely love this one.” Otherwise, I’m just up here talking and taking away from your time to listen to the song. Oh, yeah, this is a website that gives opinions on “dope music in all its forms,” after all. So you came to hear me speak about the track. Well, listen up. Razah Sharp’s submitted a lot of songs to me over the last few weeks. My main complaint with them is that, while each one has been BARS FOR DAYS, they’ve been short as heck. Don’t get me wrong; sometimes, I like short tracks, too. But if I’m in the middle of getting barred up by lyrically-sound rappers, I want the bars to keep coming.
I’m old-school like that. I think lyrically-dense tracks should go long and interludes should go short.
That said, we get a lot of bars here from everyone involved, from Razah to Dialek to NOMADD. Over the course of three-and-a-half minutes, we get artistry and storytelling that’s up there with what you’d typically hear me going on and on about. In other words, this is that crack you need in your speakers. This is a cut off the NDE (or “Near Death Experience”) album, which just dropped this past Friday. So, stop reading SOTB (for now), go check the track out, and support dope music in all its forms. If you like it, stream or purchase the album and spread the word to the world.
