Young Lit Hippy Asks Life-Altering Questions on “Symbolize”

A song that sounds like a mix between Lil Peep’s emo rap vocals and J Cole’s lyricism about life, “Symbolize” asks one question. At the end of the day, what do you stand for, the track poses as an inquiry. This one also gives us some of the things YLH symbolizes and stands for. I like the mix between the subgenres of hip-hop, as it creates an interesting but engaging blend.

I’m also a fan, like one of the other pieces I wrote about today, of the fact that YLH’s pushing a DIY sort of sound. He’s mixing and mastering everything on his own. I think that creates a level of intimacy with the tracks you create that can’t be duplicated, even by an expert engineer. Check out “Symbolize” below and support dope music in all its forms.
