I love this one because it reminds me of a Prince song. However, it also has an edge to it that you may not always get from funk. “Shape Shifter” is about a chameleon of a person who moves from person to person, stealing their positivity and trying to turn things negative. At least, that’s what I got from it. The group is condemning this way of thinking/living, as it ultimately brings about darkness and a bunch of BS.

I’m here for the message of “stop effing around with people’s vibes and emotions and let them be.” I’m also here for the instrumentation (which delves into funk, jazz and even a bit of pop).
